Blake & Gabi

Gabi & Blake met in College after they both made a last-minute decision to attend a mutual friend’s party. Blake saw Gabi and decided to introduce himself, starting what would become endless conversations for the rest of the night.

After the party, the group headed to a nearby college bar called Bruno’s. About an hour in, everyone decided to go bar hopping. Blake’s friends were on their way to Bruno’s, and he had just ordered a pitcher of beer, so he decided to wait for them. As everyone was getting ready to leave, Gabi made a decision that would change their lives. She chose to stay behind at Bruno’s with Blake. What started as keeping him company turned into sharing that pitcher of beer, laughing, and talking for hours.

Blake took Gabi to go hiking two days after Christmas—a hike Gabi didn’t think she would finish—but when she reached the top, Blake proposed. Now, Blake and Gabi live in Rhode Island, building their life together with their four-year-old tuxedo cat Bicu’.

Fun fact: When Gabi lived in Georgia (ages 1-8), she was only a 15-minute drive from Blake, but they would not meet until over 10 years later in college.
